How it works
- At night, weather radars also see birds: large echoes moving together in one direction.
- From every scan we extract how many birds are flying, in which direction and how high.
- A model that knows fourteen years of radar nights turns the weather into a forecast.

FAQ
What does Migradar cost?
The app is free. Premium costs €4.99 per month or €39.99 per year, through the App Store or Google Play.
How accurate is the forecast?
Best for the next night. It remains a forecast: on warm, calm nights the radar also sees insects.
Can the radar tell which species is flying?
No. The species in the app come from birdwatchers' observations, not from the radar.
What are the bird groups on the map?
Places where more birds are flying than around them. The radars measure them every few minutes; tap a group to follow it. You only see them at night, and not in rain or over France.
Do I need an account?
No. Everything works without one, alerts included. With an account you have Premium on every device you sign in on.
Which language is the app in?
English and Dutch. The app follows your phone's language, and you can change it in Settings.
